Diretamente da trilha sonora do filme animado Frozen, que há poucos dias atrás foi vencedor do Oscar, a música "For the First Time in Forever" sem dúvida carrega toda a forte carga dramática habitual dos desenhos produzidos pela Disney. Para celebrar o lançamento norte-americano do Blu-Ray de Frozen, o ator e músico norte americano Rogers Base, acompanhado de seu amigo guitarrista Danny Lopatka, criou uma versão especial da canção supracitada para homenagear Mario Kart 8, aguardadíssimo game de corrida que será lançado em 30 de maio para Wii U.
